Examples of Good nZEB Practices in Public Buildings

Raluca Teodosiu, Head of TUD Group’s Energy Efficiency Department, was invited at the „Ghidul de eficiență energetică nZEB” podcast, where she spoke about the ELENA Project. This project was implemented by Sector 6 Municipality, jointly with TUD Group, in the capacity of technical and financial advisor.

Sector 6 was the first public authority in Romania to access the ELENA facility – a joint initiative of the European Investment Bank and of the European Commission (Horizon 2020); its aim is preparing energy efficiency projects and supporting innovative investments at local and regional level, in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency, mainly for constructions. This pilot-program meant for public buildings involves deep energy retrofit of 12 schools and kindergartens (existing buildings) and erecting 8 nearly zero-energy buildings, designed for the usage as kindergartens and after-schools.
